Nauticus To Launch "Pirates After 5"
Looking for some fun after work? Don't have time to go to a museum during the day? Beginning Friday, December 11, Nauticus will offer "Pirates After 5" from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center. On those days Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors buying tickets after 5 p.m. can enjoy wine and cheese, then get a chance to see this fascinating blockbuster exhibit from National Geographic. "Pirates After 5" will run through April 4, 2010.
Timed tickets can be purchased at the Nauticus Admissions desk or online at Ticketmaster. The cost, which includes admission to Real Pirates as well as Nauticus, is $18.95 for adults and $14.95 for children, with special rates for groups of 15 or more. The last Real Pirates tickets will be sold 30 minutes before closing time daily. Visitors purchasing tickets after 5 p.m. will be issued a return voucher to visit Nauticus at their convenience. Real Pirates and Nauticus will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. There may also be changes due to special events so make sure to call ahead.
