New Labyrinth Exhibit Coming Soon to Nauticus!
The Lost Civilization of Atlantis is the stuff of legend, but are the stories of Atlantis true? Prepare yourself for adventure! Nauticus' newest exhibit experience, Atlantis! A Labyrinth Adventure, explores the mystery of history’s most famous lost civilizations. Opening Saturday, July 2, in the Half Moone at Nauticus, Atlantis! propels visitors into the fantasy world of Poseidon through a series of fun challenges, riddles and games.
Guests begin their journey inside the submarine of larger-than-life explorer, Peter Seidon, who claims to have discovered Atlantis. The adventure continues through a series of rooms providing eleven different "experiences," each designed to use one or more of the five senses. Visit a sea turtle's lair, explore underwater caves, check out the periscope observation room and meet some very special mermaids! The choices made as you progress through the labyrinth determine the outcome of every adventure, so each visit can be slightly different.
The exhibit is a joint venture of Nauticus and RE: Vision Norfolk, a local group committed to engaging the creative community. Major sponsors and contributors include Pete and Bess Decker, T. Parker Host, Seven Venues, Concrete Creations and Play and Learn. Thanks to our media partners the Virginian Pilot and WVEC-TV.
