Sign up for news related to Nauticus educational programs, Science News for Kids, a fun puzzle and a cool science experiment for you and the kids. Distributed quarterly.
All Nauticus programs integrate Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOLs), which are designed to enhance your field trip. You can schedule one or more of these programs to meet your specific needs. These programs last approximately 30 minutes and can accommodate approximately 50 students at a time.
A field trip to Nauticus is a fun and exciting way to help your students learn about the fascinating world of science! Nauticus field trips include all exhibits, a self-guided visit aboard the Battleship Wisconsin and a self-guided tour of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, optional education programs and optional high-definition large format films.Preschool Science Adventures
Spend a fun, educational and interactive hour with your child during this exciting education program offered from 3 to 4 pm on selected Saturdays throughout the year.
Nauticus educator Susie Hill sailed aboard the 187-ft. NOAA fisheries research ship Albatross IV July 22-August 3, 2007. While on board, Susie took pictures and wrote daily logs that included weather data, research of the day, and interviews with scientists. The logs and Lesson Plans have been posted here.

Our award-winning Nauticus/Norfolk Public Schools Junior Scientists Club consists of 20 sixth through eighth graders from Ruffner and Northside Middle Schools in Norfolk, Virginia. We were selected by our teachers based upon our interest in the club and pursuing a future career in the field of science.
