Design Chamber: Battleship X
Daily: 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m.
Inside this multi-media interactive theater, match wits with America's best ship designers on the eve of World War II in a race against time to create the greatest battleship ever. If you are a tactical genius, this is the place to show it. Theater capacity is limited - first come first served. Maximum capacity-50 people.

ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Workshop

Build an ROV from PVC pipe & other materials

Eco Exploration
Daily: 11:00 a.m.
Explore the Elizabeth River during this 30-minute, hands-on discovery walk! Discover plants and animals that dwell in our own waterways as well as the Chesapeake Bay. Collect water and aquatic specimen samples while learning about river ecology and biological conditions.

Aegis
Daily: 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m.
Aegis is an ancient word for shield. It's also the name of the Navy's hi-tech protection system used by destroyers to form a 250-mile-radius shield around a naval battle group. This specially designed command center theater simulates a battle situation, allowing you to feel the weight of command, as you make hair-raising, snap decisions. Theater capacity is limited - first come first served. Maximum capacity-40 people.

What does a shark's skin feel like? Find out at Nauticus' Shark Petting Lagoon, where you can touch the back of a warm-water Nurse Shark. Sharks in the Lagoon vary in length from two to three feet.

NOAA Science On a Sphere Presentation

Enjoy this exciting and interactive presentation on our newest exhibit, Science On a Sphere. Explore the Earth's surface and learn about weather patterns, how hurricanes are formed, climate conditions around the world, and much more!

Kiddie Tidepool & Storytime
Daily: Noon & 4:00 p.m.
Geared toward early learners, this program explores the ecology of the Elizabeth River. Plus, enjoy a special reading of a maritime-related story.

Battle Blast
Daily: 1:00 p.m.
What is the science behind an explosion? What are the forces associated with motion? Why would one form of energy be converted into light or heat? Awesome experiments investigate the science of energy, force, pressure, and combustion, as well as the technology of speed, armor and firepower associated with battleship design.

The Living Sea

This film celebrates the world ocean - its beauty, diversity and importance to all life on Earth. Swim with thousands of golden jellyfish and witness the bizarre spawning behavior of giant clams. Gateways the to World
Daily: 11 a.m. (30 min.)
With the largest natural harbor on earth, the Port of Virginia serves as a gateway to the world through maritime operations. This original hi-definition film captures Port activity as choreographed motions of trains, cranes and container ships reveal the beauty of transportation where workers are the masters of the machinery that dwarves them. Produced by Nauticus in conjunction with Xenon.
