The Big Ticket

  • This ticket includes admission to Nauticus & Battleship Wisconsin, a 2-hour Naval Base cruise aboard the Victory Rover, a 20% discount off one item in the Banana Pier Gift Shop, and a boxed lunch. Two for the Sea

  • This ticket includes admission to Nauticus & Battleship Wisconsin, and a 2-hour Naval Base cruise aboard the Victory Rover. Available March through December. Elizabeth River Eco-Expedition

  • This in depth field trip will consist of a three-part guided boat trip exploring the Elizabeth River's ecology, biology, and history. Students will have the opportunity to perform experiments with water chemistry and biological sampling on the Victory Rover. Field trips must begin at 9am. Group must be a minimum of 40 people and a maximum of 100 people including chaperones. Fee includes admission to Nauticus & Battleship Wisconsin for the same day! $20.00 per person.

Anchors Aweigh

  • Enjoy admission to Nauticus, a main deck, self-guided tour of the Battleship Wisconsin, and a 2-hour lunch cruise aboard the Spirit of Norfolk. Call Spirit Cruises at (757) 625-1748 for reservations and pricing.

Sea Legends & Ghosts: A Downtown Walkaround Tour

  • Walk the cobblestone streets of the historic Freemason District and learn of Norfolk's own sea legends and ghost tales. This 60-minute trek will highlight some of the new as well as the old haunts-like Freemason Abbey and the Wells Theater-believed to be one of the most haunted places in Virginia! $8 per person. Kids Discovery Lunch Cruise Series aboard The Spirit of Norfolk

  • Kids Discovery Lunch Cruises aboard the Spirit of Norfolk. Explore the power of the sea during a two-hour lunch cruise down the Elizabeth River. Your group can participate on hands-on experiments, see some real-world applications of science, and hear about careers in science.
  • 3/16/2011 Cool Science: Experience amazing liquid nitrogen as you discover the science of temperature and states of matter.
  • 4/13/2011 Chesapeake Bay Investigation: Solve the mystery of the Elizabeth River predator and learn about the basics of our local Chesapeake Bay and Elizabeth River animals.
  • 5/18/2011 Weather World: Students will learn about air pressure, cloud formation, weather instruments and more!
  • 7/20/2011 Seeing the Sea: Everything you want to know about ocean science - learn about ocean animals and the adaptations they use to survive, light and sound, ocean pressure and more!
     

Brown Bag Cruises aboard the Spirit of Norfolk

What an unforgettable, educational field trip idea! Pack a lunch and hop onboard the Spirit of Norfolk for an SOL-compliant, class on a cruise event. Available weekdays September - November, boarding at 10am and cruising from 10:30am - Noon. Students will experience an exciting SOL based Nauticus education program, and an educational tour narration of America's oldest working harbor. Call (757) 625-1463 for reservations and pricing.

Explore the Night at Nauticus

Come with your family or group for a unique sleepover experience at Nauticus! Includes special theme related programming, exhibit tour, movie in our large screen theater and breakfast!
Cost: $35 per child (ages 9-14 years), $25 per adult, one free adult per group (one adult required per ten children). Hours are 7pm – 9am.

  • April 16 – 17, 2011: Animals of the Darkness (Learn about nocturnal animals)
  • May 21 – 22, 2011: RoboKids ROV (Ages 12-16 – build an underwater robot!)
